I have a PVR500 and a PVR250 in my backend/frontend combo. I don't see
any difference in quality; either between the cards, the tuners, or
MythTV based reception vs straight TV.  I did have some static issues in
the beginning, but they were fixed by tightening down the cable
connection (to the card) with a pair of pliers.
