[mythtv-users] Empty Program Guide

Hi all,
I am running MythTV on a Fedora Core 5 system. I am
using the DataDirect services to fetch channels.
My problem is that the program guide is empty, even
after running mythfilldatabase. If I enter the guide,
I get the error,
GuideGrid: You don't have any channels defined in the
database. Guide grid will have nothing to show you.
Yet strangely enough I am able to use the "Program
Finder" and if I go to Search Listings -> Channels,
the channels are appearing in the channel search
window; if I click on a channel I can scroll a
vertical list of programs at different times.
So the channels do seem to be there, they are just not
appearing in the program guide.
Searching the archives I found a message that
suggested decreasing the number of displayed channels
in preferences. This has no effect.
In case its relevant, I haven't yet installed a video
capture card, but I didn't think this should matter
since the program guide has been downloaded.
Any suggestions?
Vasanth
