That's exactly what mythjobqueue was made for.  On your frontend box,
run mythtv-setup and setup the JobQueue page just as if you were
setting up a backend.  Then just run mythjobqueue and it will start
processing jobs like any other backend would.

Yes, but in this case you don't need to.
