Hi all,

I am running Fedora Core 5 on a Sony Vaio PCG-K17
laptop. The Linux
kernel is 2.6.16.16. I am having problems installing
the mythTV packages using yum, due to a missing
dependency.

When I do,

yum install mythtv-suite

I eventually get the error,

Processing Dependency: libmp4ff.so.0 for package:
mythmusic
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
Error: Missing Dependency: libmp4ff.so.0 is needed by
package mythmusic

My existing repositories under yum.repos.d include
atrpms, freshrpms,
livna, and the main fedora respositories.

I googled libmp4ff.so.0 and found some site that has
an rpm called faad2-2.0-4.2.fc4.i386.rpm, which
contains libmp4ff.so.0. However, when I
tried to install this, I got the error,

root# rpm -i faad2-2.0-4.2.fc4.i386.rpm
        package faad2-2.0-15.20050131.lvn5 (which is
newer than
faad2-2.0-4.2.fc4) is already installed

        file /usr/lib/libmp4v2.so.0.0.0 from install
of faad2-2.0-4.2.fc4
conflicts with file from package libmp4v2-1.4.1-3.lvn5

Any suggestions?

Vasanth
