[mythtv-users] Problem getting New nova-t remote working

I am using myth 19.1 on Ubuntu dapper (2.6.15-26-386).  I have a nova-t
which comes with the new silver fronted remote (card has Conexant chip
set).  I am using the howto at http://parker1.co.uk/mythtv_ubuntu2.php.

The arrow keys and OK button seem to work OK but nothing else.  The
howto does mention a patch for a previous kernel that was necessary but
I am fairly sure I can not apply this as it would be for a spacific
kernel version (?).

Has anyone experiences/fixed this problem?
