I have a old compaq server with a P3 600 Mhz and pvr500 and it's a perfect
backend. The CPU is more then enough for recording. Before the PVR500 I had
a software based capture card and even that setup was working (CPU at 100%,
but no hickups).
I have a single 120GB ATA disk and it can handle the load without any
problems.
