[mythtv-users] Problems with internal DVD player

Hi,

I'm trying to get the internal player (from trunk) to work as a DVD
player, but i'm running into some problems. System: Duron 800Mhz with
NVidia FX5200 (binary 8762 driver) and SB Live running SPDIF to
receiver.

1) Using standard playback, I get "jerky" video and 80%-90% CPU
   usage. The same DVD plays fine in Mplayer (50% cpu) and xine (although the
   sound in xine sometimes breaks, which is way I'm trying to use the
   internal player).

   Is the internal player much less effecient than xine/mplayer? I've
   compiled myth on a pIII but the frontend is an AMD Duron. Does this
   make a difference??

2) Using XvMC playback, the CPU usage drops to about 20% but now the
   playback seems like in slowmotion. XvMC playback in mplayer seems
   to be fine.

   Has anybody successfully played DVD using XvMC with the internal
   player??
