[mythtv-users] modelines for an hdtv LCD

I'm having a similar problem with the Panasonic TH50XVS30U Plasma screen.
I'm trying to get the same Vertical refresh and resolution but have been
having problems.

I have corrected the horizontal res. To be a factor of 8, however, while the
screen does display the desktop, I still am having the desktop not fit the
screen (desktop exceeds the limits of the screen).

Anyone got any suggestions as to what would cause this?

Thanks

Andrew

I think the answer to the first question is that the horizontal pixel
resoution must be a multiple of 8.

As for why X won't start, what does it say in the log?
