I'm at a loss ... I compiled QT 3.3.6 from scratch and did the myth
and mytharchive build from that version of QT and it STILL dies. So
after hours of compiling I gained nothing really ... well I guess I
got a newer version of QT installed. I'm guessing I'm going to have to
scrap the box and start from scratch :-(    the problem is just beyond
my knowledge. My luck it's something with the compiler or something.
I'll see if I can install another machine as a frontend and put
mytharchive there and try to create my DVD's before I toast the
machine.

Anyway .... thanks for all your help Paul and Lukas! the issue may not
be solved but at least I didn't waste more time heading down tons of
wrong pathes :-)
