Have you considered using TVWish?

It can import wish-lists from other TVWish users. You can use
various rating options to increase or decrease the recording
priority of shows, etc. It's not true collaborative filtering, but
it's pretty good. TVWish also has a "suggest" feature that will
analyse your past picks and automatically add low-priority
recordings to the list.
What would be REALLY nice would be if MythTV would assign a few
cut-off priority levels. The first (-50) would turn off the
"reschedule higher priotity recordings" feature so that anything
below -50 would be recorded only if the tuner was otherwise idle.
A second threshold (-99) would simply disable that entry so it
would never be recorded. Likewise, it would be nice to have a
threshold (+50) on the positive side beyond which a high-priority
show would be exempt from the "reschedule higher priority
recordings" feature entirely. (These things may already exist but
I'm stuck on 0.18 right now).
