[mythtv-users] runaway recordings due to slave backend disappearance

hi all.  my current set up is a master backend with one
tuner and a slave backend with another tuner for a grand
total of 2 tuners.  the issue i am having is that for some
reason, the master sometimes thinks that the slave goes
away.  when this happens, if there was a show being recorded
on the slave, the slave never stops recording and fills up
the disk.  to the best of my knowledge, the slave never
actually dies.  if i restart the slave, the master picks it
back up.  both boxes are hardwired to a hub.

does anyone have any idea what might be going on here?
