hi.
I'm pretty new with the (amazing) mythtv. I'm trying to config my
remote (asus digimatrix) in order to control the software.
so the problems are mainly two:
1. this is not strictly related with remote, but I think in some ways:
using mythfrontend with the keyboard and deactivating the feature to
make faster the menu navigation, in them you can use 'right' to select
and 'left' to esc, I have no effects. RIGHT select always and LEFT do
the 'exit' command. It's the same if I try to activate (or deactivate)
that function. it seems that mythfrontend stores the first setting I
used (with the function activated) and now is not able to change it.
2. ever related with menu navigation, but with the remote: I'm not
able to send the 'right' and 'left' command for navigate trough
supported menus: for example, with mythnews I can switch from rss
feeds (the sources) but I can't 'go right' to view the single entries
of the feeds. using the keyboard (with right arrow) it works. same
behaviour with the program guide: i'm not able (with the remote) to
see different programs (and then different timings) on the same
channel. I can't go right. works flawlessy with the keyboard.

I attach my lircrc (found somewhere in the inet and modified).
I think that it could be possible to solve with irxevent (configuring
it with the link between remote button and the phisical button on the
keyboard) but I don't know if it would be possible then to use it with
other applications launched via mythtv (ie mplayer with mythvideo).

any suggestions would be fine!
thanks

antani
