Well, assuming you're not doing High-Def, the XBox makes a very nice  
front-end, once you get it up and running.
I've managed to play videos on my XBox that eek a bit beyond 720x480  
in XBMC, and had no problem. I've heard everyone saying that the XBox  
can't handle High-Def, but I remember playing a file labeled HD once.  
Maybe it was scaled down, but that was with XBMC, not MythTV.

Anyway, an XBox as a front-end is worth it.
