ALSA upgraded to current yum FC4 version and system rebooted. Still
getting kernel error messages. I have no idea at the moment how to track
down which module.
Messages like this:
Message from syslogd at htpc at Sun Feb 19 21:09:17 2006 ...
htpc kernel: Bad page state at free_hot_cold_page (in process
'mythfrontend', page c13d0d40)

htpc kernel: Backtrace:
Message from syslogd at htpc at Sun Feb 19 21:09:17 2006 ...
htpc kernel: Trying to fix it up, but a reboot is needed
The only messages in the mythfrontend log around this time are:
2006-02-19 21:09:12.885 Guessing at new AV sync values
2006-02-19 21:09:13.562 WriteAudio: buffer underrun

2006-02-19 21:09:16.507 TV: Changing from WatchingPreRecorded to None
2006-02-20 02:02:41.837 Received a remote 'Clear Cache' request
I also get things like this in the frontend log... but they don't
correlate with the bad page errors so I assume they are unrelated:
2006-02-19 19:56:54.217 VideoOutputXv Error: Child E was
already marked as available.
2006-02-19 19:56:55.159 WriteAudio: buffer underrun
2006-02-19 19:56:56.669 NVP: prebuffering pause
Ideas?
Despite says a reboot is needed, the system remains stable (at least
appears to --- programs still record and play as usual).
Michael.
