The SP1300 (Gentoo with Epios overlay) is both front and backend in my living 
room running diskless (root fs on a Centos 4 box), it's PCI slot is taken up 
by the PVR 150 and it displays using it's onboard VIA CN400 chipset (XVMC 
accelerated) - no NVidia.

I'm not using XVMC on the remote front end which is also Gentoo but is NVidia 
throughout (Nforce 2 chipset + TI4800 gfx card).

I have the same problem on both.
