channel to record (same 3 minute early start). At that point the screen 
froze, and I had to exit myth and restart. Then, whenever I tried to browse 
anything other than the main menus (basically any screen that didn't look 
like this: http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/images/9/98/Retro.jpg ) it froze up 
and I had to restart myth to unfreeze it, but the problem remained with the 
freezing when leaving main menus.

I've rebooted to windows now, but I just had a look in the recording 
directory and, err....

Seems to have recorded a 0kb sized .mpg file for every second of the second 
recording starting
(starts at 1002_20060217185854.mpg to 1002_20060217190004.mpg as 0k, 
...190005.mpg won't play back, 190006 does but appears just to be a blank 
screen, and that may have been when I restarted (either myth or my comp)).

So I'm guessing it's not meant to do that, but exactly what it is doing I 
dunno. Maybe making constant recordings of an off air channel until it comes 
on air, something like that. Just thought you'd all like to know anyway, 
some more work for you to do while it's still cold outside :o)
