Well, at least in my case, I have to record in HD, but my frontend will
segfault if I try to play it. I'm guessing it's something to do with
large formats and video cards (I have a Matrox G550 and a crappy i810).
Transcoded to 720x420 works like a charm. And since the vast majority
of my shows are PBS (public television for the furreigners among us :-)
)-type documentaries and/or kids shows, the time delay doesn't bother me.
