Most likely your ALSA configuration. Your soundcard probably only does
48KHz, so you'll need to configure ALSA to use the plug plugin. See
http://mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Configuring_Digital_Sound#Setting_up_ALSA.27s_.asoundrc.2C_Properly
, even though you're not setting up digital sound.
Also, you may want to use 48KHz audio in the profile. 48KHz audio will
go straight to DVD without resampling.
