I have installed this codec:
http://www.mactcp.org.nz/quicktime/AC3CodecMacOSX.sitx

But now quicktime simply stop responding when trying to open the .mpg file.
Still no sound with VLC.

I got sound opening the file with Mplayer and Niceplayer with the Xine
plugin, however those two programs do not allow me to read from
mythweb/apache. They both crash. I have to first transfer the file on the
Mac then play them.. It takes a long time to transfer the file over my
802.11g  wireless :( so I would prefer to stream from the mythweb site.

I'd like link to your AC3 codec if it's possible.
