I feel your pain man. I am running in to the same problems getting a dvi
connection on my Sony
KDS-R60XBR1<http://cnet.search.com/click?xsl,cnet.2.313.1457.0.1.1.3.5.6484.31481141.sony%2B60%2Bxbr.0,http://dw.com.com/redir?edId=3&oid=6070-5_1-0&siteid=1&ontId=5&tag=ksrch_tp_rev_1_2&subj=sony%2B60%2Bxbr&destcat=6484_1-31481141&desturl=http%253A%252F%252Fwww%252Ecnet%252Ecom%252FSony_KDS_R60XBR1%252F4505%252D6484_7%252D31481141%252Ehtml>and
have switched back to s-video until I have more time to spend on it. I
have to admit that of all things myth that getting a modeline to work at the
right resolution is the hardest thing that I have run across. Especially if
you TV will not output what it supports. I am a Linux admin by day but I
have to admit that Windows does a much better job of making this easier. I
hooked up a XP MCE to the TV just to see how much Myth spanked it and was
suprised that out of the box it displayed full widescreen with only a little
overscanning. Can't even come close in to that with Linux yet. Anyhow Myth
is worth all the trouble to get it to work right but oh how does it suck
when you can't make it work.
