I am using VMware Workstation 5.5.1 on my myth backend system and the
virtual machines work fine and so does mythtv backend on the same box.

Of course just dont go maxing out the cpu in a virtual machine
otherwise it will affect the real OS processes like mythtv.

Running default install of Ubuntu which runs mythtv setup and default
Workstation 5.5.1 install :)

My virtual machines range from XP -> Debian :)
