Only the fact that the resolution, at least, would already be
correct. It seems to me (but only intuitively) that it would make the
transcoding less work, but intuition may be quite wrong in this case.
Incidentally, the wiki entry I referred to above also said that you
could set the resolution to half-D1 to "make your Plextor work less
hard", which seemed a silly thing to be concerned about to me, I want
that puppy working its guts out :-)
