I'm just using a cheap Belkin VGA cable.  I was actually planning to get a
decent one, but neither Best Buy nor CompUSA had anything better than the
one I got.  But regardless, even if I was able to get EDID information,
would it matter?  I know I've seen other emails to the list where people
claimed that modelines were unnecessary with VGA input...
