[mythtv-users] Saving programs to DVD

Hi,

I also have another question. Can anyone point me to a good place to 
find out the best way to save the programs I like to DVD? Ideally, 
I'd like to take the program, edit out the commercials using the 
cutlist, and put it on a DVD that I can pop in and play later. The 
problem is I have no idea what tools to look for if I want to do this 
in Linux or in Windows. I have DVD burning software for Windows, but 
I don't even know what format the video files should be in for replay 
on a DVD player or a MythTV box.
