[mythtv-users] static in live tv audio

I have been experiencing audio problems with the captured audio.  There 
is a lot of static and pops in the sound.  I have tried adjusting the 
mixer levels in case they were too high, but this doesn't seem to be the 
problem.  I have been playing around with the recording profile for 
LiveTV with the Unbuffered/MP3 setting, yet each delivers the same 
result.  There are occasional split second pauses and this can be seen 
in the terminal with a "prebuffering pause" message and with some 
settings a "WriteAudio buffer underrun" message.  Does anyone know how 
to fix this?  I'm using a SB Live!, Hauppauge WinTV 401, and Fedora Core 
4 x86_64.
