I'm not so sure. Here is my box:

top - 17:16:17 up 1 day, 17:14, 2 users, load average: 1.03, 1.02, 1.00
Tasks: 114 total, 1 running, 113 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie
Cpu(s): 0.2% us, 0.3% sy, 0.0% ni, 99.5% id, 0.0% wa, 0.0% hi, 0.0% si
Mem: 512432k total, 453508k used, 58924k free, 145912k buffers
Swap: 979924k total, 0k used, 979924k free, 90660k cached

Admittedly, my box had a reboot and has only been up for just over 41 hours,
but it's 2 tuners have been recording and playing back quite a bit in that
time.
