I guess that mine must be an 'old' one. I've had it since June last year.
I tried an early version of the 0.5.1 driver but it did not work with my
hardware.

This means, that we are back to the situation we used to have: two
pieces of hardware which require their own version of a tveeprom module.

Since the cx88_dvb modules went into the kernel, Hauppauge PVR card
owners have been able to use the kernel's tveeprom module with the ivtv
modules to access the card (and therefore also use an HD3000 card at the
same time).

That happy state of affairs may now be broken again if you are correct
about the tuner hardware change. That might be addressable with changes
to the ivtv drivers.
I have no idea if one can use the two tveeprom modules (differently
named) at the same time: that is, load tveeprom-ivtv for use with the
ivtv driver and load tveeprom for use with cx88_dvb...

"Pioneering is the business of finding new and unexpected ways of
dieing"...(Adam Hall, 1966).

In this case, pioneering is the business of finding new and unexpected
ways of crashing your computer....

Good luck
