The tuning speed is fixed for DVB-T cards as I understand it. MythTV
has no control over how long it takes for the card to lock on to a
signal. I don't really use LiveTV so the tuning speed wasn't a key
factor when choosing cards.

I use both Nova-T (1) and V-Stream DVB-T (2) cards. The Nova-T seems
to me to be more picky with reduced signal quality. In a high strength
signal area, I'd imagine cost is the real determining factor as at
least both of these cards are supported out of the box with FC4.
