Subject: [mythtv-users] /dev/video0 doesn't exist
I'm doing a first time install of MythTv on Gentoo for a friend and I've run
into a problem.
No matter what I do, I don't seem to have a /dev/video0 file. If I create it
with mknod, when I try to open it, I get an error indicating that the device
My friend's machine has a Haupauge 250 card in it.
I'm wondering if the card has to be actually plugged into a cable connection
before the kernel will see the card?
Any other ideas would be appreciated.
Does the hardware show-up under lspci?
