Have a look up further in your mythburn.log (or progress.log) file. The
real culprit may be mythtranscode failing -- that's what led to an
unrecognizable stream.mv2 file in my case.
Possible things you might see:
*mythtranscode --mpeg2 -c 1105 -s 2006-10-09T10:28:00 **-o
/videos/mytharchive/work/1/newfile2.mpg*
*ICE default IO error handler doing an exit(), pid = 27674, errno = 32*

Also, don't know if it matters, but I tend to have better luck running
mythfrontend as root rather than my normal MythTV user -- fewer buffer
underruns, and thus, useless DVD-Rs. This is probably a Really Bad Idea
[tm], but it works for me.
