Looks like a GeForce 6100 northbridge and nForce 430 southbridge. I think I
attempted to turn on DMA once with an hdparm command and got some sort of
"you can't do that, doesn't make sense to try" error message.

Here's another, one recording of CBS HD w/realtime commflagging (medium
priority) while watching live NBC HD:
/dev/sda:
 Timing cached reads:   1860 MB in  2.00 seconds = 928.09 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads:  142 MB in  3.01 seconds =  47.17 MB/sec
