[mythtv-users] OpenGL

I am using KnoppMyth (I forget - the latest one), with an upgrade to MythTV
0.20.

I have a Radeon 9200 card.

When I switched the UI over to OpenGL the frontend gave me a big-black
screen when it ran. (So I went into the database, changed back to QT - no
problem).

Trying to invstigate the issue, I noticed a few things:

glxinfo is saying the "direct rendering" is not available.

the flgrx driver was giving some error on startup saying that the Radeon
driver version was incompatible with fglrx - then the drm driver didn't load
- probibly because of that.

I upgraded the Radeon drivers from ATI's site. They do not want to load
automatically, but when I load them manualy drm and radeon seem to load
okay.

fglrx does not load, and gives me:

[fglrx:firegl_init_module] *ERROR* firegl_stub_register failed

..and it again says "Direct Rendering" is not enabled.

In the end - I'm trying to get OpenGL to work with myth.

Am I even going about this the right way? Am I on the right track?

Anyone have any ideas??
