[mythtv-users] Audio, but No Volume Control

First the bad news - there is no audio output on a pvr500 - thats an input
for when using svideo or composite. The good news is that you have already
found this out by removing the cable and you still get sound!!

Go into setup from the frontend emnu, the 3rd screen is audio - select the
mixer device (I use 'ALSA:default') and the control (I use 'Master') and
away you go!! (or at least you should do...)

Certainly you should find a combination that works for your hardware on
this screen. Note that not all choices are present in the pulldowns - you
may have to actually type in your selection (particularly the ALSA ones).
