Screen capture option #2:
1. ssh into your frontend. (Forward X using either -X or -Y ).
2. mythfrontend& (Start mythfrontend in the background.)
3. import -window mythfrontend $name_of_output_file_here. (import is part
of ImageMagick.)

At the risk of sounding like a broken record,

I plan to start work on a 4:3 version of the theme in the new year.

If you experience issues with the theme or OSD, EMAIL ME screenshots
and a description of what's up.

Just like MythTV has a preferred bug tracking system, I have mine ;)

There are many different ways to grab screenshots but I find the
easiest is to run a separate vncserver, thereby making it possible to
see what's going on and therefore take a screenshot. It's as simple
as :

1. run vncserver
2. export DISPLAY=:0
3. mythfrontend
4. log into the vncserver (e.g. vncviewer $foobar:1 where $foobar is
the machine's hostname or IP address)
5. use your favourite screen capture method ( easy from most desktop
environments).

The reason it works so well for me is that the vncserver's display has
no xv, so although it'll be slow at least it's possible to see
everything that goes on & grab it.

A description of a problem is one thing, but I find it makes my life
much easier to see a screenshot.
