I am curious why you are still running 0.18? As to your screensaver 
question. The default is to disable the screensaver during video and to 
allow it at menus. It seems to force the blank screen screensaver 
independent of saver chosen.  This is for 0.19 or 0.20 so it might be 
different for 0.18.
