Interesting.  Forgive my ignorance, but how does one know that you are
installing something compatible with the kernel in 2005.  Someone
mentioned that you shouldn't even mix up rpms between versions in the same
distro.  In other words you shouldn't use a Mandriva 2006 RPM on Mandriva
2005.  Can anyone else comment?  I can find the package I need for 2006,
but not 2005.
