If there was one machine as the "perfect front end" Mythtv would only  
support 1 front end. Perfect is a relative term. I think my front end  
is perfect, but it's big and a little noisy so it's not someone  
else's perfect front end. If I wanted small and quiet, I would go for  
the mini.

The apple remote only has 5 buttons total. No individual channel  
buttons. It's not meant for watching TV. It's meant for controlling  
volume, choosing items from a menu and selecting a chosen item.  
That's all you get.
