[mythtv-users] Data Direct Error, Rogers Cable Toronto or Internal Mythtv Table Error???

I'm getting an error with recordings which at first glance looks like it
might originate with the Data Direct data. But that makes no sense.
This is analog cable recorded using a PVR-500.
WNED (xmltvid 11709) is channel 61 on cable. It is channel 17, OTA.
WGRZ (xmltvid 17484) is channel 17 on cable. It is channel 7 OTA.
When I try to record a program from WNED channel 61, my mythbox records
the correct time slot, but the program recorded is the one showing on
WGRZ...????
The EPG shows the different programs on each channel.
Example: WNED 10 pm Aug 16: American Masters: Einstein
WGRZ 10 pm Aug 16: Law and Order
Set myth to record channel 61 (American Masters).
And playback gives... Law and Order.
The OSD however continues to describe the program as American
Masters....????
Setting a recording schedule for channel 17 *gets* channel 17's listed
program...In the example, if I set 2 simultaneous recordings on 61 and
17 I would end up with 2 copies of Law and Order, but one is labelled as
American Masters.
On first pass, it *looks* like the cable listing is being confused with
the off air listing. But the EPG is correct. Checking in mythtv-setup
shows that each channel has a different xmltvid. On reflection, it
cannot actually be a DataDirect error, because the listings data is
different. So the error must be at my end.
I have no idea when this error started, but it is within the last month
and a half (sorry, that's how far back my wife and I are in catching up
to what we want to watch together!)
Has anyone else in the Toronto area seen this? (Is this my unique error
or not?)
Does anyone have any ides what is going on and how to fix it?
It's got me baffled.
Here is the channel table data:

The xmltvid entries are unique, as are the chanid's and the channum's
and the atscsrcid's. Which is why this is so weird.
My best guess is that the selected card is being told to tune to channel
17 *instead* of channel 61, but I cannot see anything wrong with the
channel data. The card data and other tables are irrelevant to the
tuning process at that point. One channel and one channel only. No other
channels are known to exhibit this problem.
All WAG's gratefully accepted.
