Hello,
I am running Ubuntu Dapper, and
ashembers at codger:~$ lsmod|grep 1394
dv1394 21196 0
raw1394 30956 0
ohci1394 35124 1 dv1394
ieee1394 299832 4 sbp2,dv1394,raw1394,ohci1394
scsi_mod 139496 5 sr_mod,sbp2,sg,sd_mod,libata
So I think to myself "Great! Firewire modules are working" and then I run
plugreport...
ashembers at codger:~$ sudo plugreport
Password:
Host Adapter 0
=======
Node 0 GUID 0x0014f8b4ec520000
------------------------------
oMPR n_plugs=1, data_rate=2, bcast_channelc
oPCR[0] online=1, bcast_connection=0, n_p2p_connections=1
channel=0, data_rate=0, overhead_id=0, payload6
iMPR n_plugs=0, data_rate=2
Node 1 GUID 0x00e01800006826bd
------------------------------
libiec61883 error: error reading oMPR
libiec61883 error: error reading iMPR
So my firewire device (an SA3250HD) is on 0,0. I then try to run the
test-mpeg script. When I run test-mpeg, I get this output and a zero-length
mpeg file:
sudo ./test-mpeg2 -r 1 > test.mpg
libiec61883 warning: No plugs exist on either node; using default broadcast
channel 63.
Starting to receive
done.
I don't get it. What else should I be checking?
Thanks in advance everyone!
