[mythtv-users] using hauppauge pvr-x50 + pcHDTV3000

This may be a naive question, but I can't seem to find an answer on the
FAQ.  I've got a pvr-350 now, and am toying with getting an HD-capable
card, namely the common pcHDTV 3000.  If one installs an HD capable card,
can mythtv still utilize the hardware mpeg2 encoder on the pvr-350 to
encode HD content, or does it become useless/redundant?
