Carl,

I found that I needed to add --with-dvb (or similar; don't have it handy)
to mythtv 0.19 ./configure to access the card. After solving several
other problems,
I do have HDTV (ATSC) with my pchdtv hd-5500 card. I can also get
analog TV with a standalone application. I understand that the svn
version allows this in mythtv, but I haven't gone there yet.

Rich

(other problems: Defective hd-3000 card, Suse misconfiguring modprobe,
sound gettting confused when an hd-3000 was replaced with an hd-5500
(modprobe again))
