It does -- I've compiled 1.10.2 and 1.9.1 both to see if anything changes 
(other than command syntax), using various combinations of configure opts,
the result is always identical, two 404 messages. I'm baffled! Also tried that 
wget command on other boxen, including os x, just-to-see -- no good there 
either. ??

Does wget look at some other library that isn't there, or is not doing the 
expected thing? The MD5 nonces don't match (I don't know if they are supposed 
to actually) when using wget with debug out --

Starting to seem like something that should be pursued in a wget list...but 
we're getting close! thank you
