I'm not running KnoppMyth but I used to see this behaviour before I 
rebuild my Fedora system for Myth 0.19.

I found that if I pressed stop and then manually selected chapter 1 the 
content on the DVD would play OK. I figured that it was the menu that 
the player didn't like. When I upgraded to FC5 I got new versions of the 
whole tool chain and now I can watch DVDs without any problem on the 
same player.

I'm running FC5 with dvdauthor-0.6.11-4.lvn5 and Myth 0.19 from atrpms.
