Hi,
Thanks for your suggestion.I built Myth tv on SuSE 10.0 through rpms.
I wanna have seperate audio and video files for my myth recordings.
When I tried to Transcode my Myth tv recordings with the command below
...it has given me the error message ......error initializing fifo writer
?
linux:~ # mythtranscode --chanid 1005 --starttime 2006-07-13T16:50 --profile
autodetect --fifodir . --fifosync &
[1] 13332
linux:~ # 2006-07-31 11:35:31.948 Using runtime prefix 2006-07-31 11:35: 31.958 New DB connection, total: 1

Couldn't create fifo for file: ./vidout
File exists
2006-07-31 11:35:32.068 Error initializing fifo writer. Aborting!

I evev tried to transcode manually but I haven't got any file successfully
transcoded. So without losing hope I mailed and got a reply saying....

to remove .(dot) from the command .Then I tried ....

mythtranscode --chanid 1005 --starttime 2006-07-13T16:50 --profile
autodetect --fifodir

It worked and I got a .nuv filke created in my recordings folder. But I have
n't got seperate audio and and video files created.
So I tried
mplayer -dumpaudio -filename.nuv

to get audio file. But still not clear what I have achieved! So,now I tried
to convert them to 3GPP format to check them in my mobile. So,I transfered
the files to my windows machine and using Nokia Multimedia Converter I
converted them to video and audio files. But when I played them Video time is
increased i.e.,2 minutes clip is playing for 4 minutes in slow motion??but
the audio is okay?
So now I want to know the exact commands so that I will get both seperated
from the mpeg input file and I will rectify my errors which I made while
doing the same.
Help me regarding transcoding please!
One more thing I hadn't specified any codecs in set up.What do I have to do
?

Thank you.

Raj.
