That is exactly what it is for, easier maintenance of the
TVguide.org.au data.  A lot of Aussie mythTV users have made the
switch and as I stated, it makes it possibly easier for them to give
something back to the OzTivo guys.

Heh, thanks for the quoting :P  I know some prefer forums or whatever
as opposed to mailing lists, but the debate has been had a million
times and it was decided mythTV would be mailing list based.  And
while I don't want to start a war over which is better or whatever, I
think it is pointless trying to warp what is a mailing list into
something else, forcing peole into a mized environment and reducing
the whole experience somewhat.  I hope you understand where I (and
possibly others) is coming from.
