Jacob,
Make sure you are running either a 0.6.3 version of ivtv if you are
using a 2.6.16 kernel, ivtv 0.7.0 if running 2.6.17 kernels from FC4.
As more and more of the ivtv-related modules get into the mainline
kernel, any you install separately are likely to conflict. This is all
explained on the www.ivtvdriver.org site.
Also, make sure you do not have any old ivtv alias lines in your
/etc/modprobe.conf file - these should not be needed now that the
tuner and msp3400 modules are in the kernel. I run PVR150 and PVR350
cards together with DVB-T cards which use the cx88-dvb module so have
a similar (although not exact) setup as yours, without any problems
using the 2.6.16-1.2111_FC4 kernel.
Once I have a stable system, I do not tamper with it. I saw quite a
few issues with the new 2.6.17 kernels - ALSA problems for example, so
I'm glad I stuck with 2.6.16. If you still have the old RPMs lying
around in yum's cache, you could revert back to a working kernel if
you do not need the new features in the very latest kernel.
