Assuming the video is in the correct MPEG format to go straight onto a
DVD, it's probably easier to just follow the steps in the Myth HOWTO to
burn a show to a DVD. Of course, you wouldn't get menus that way, but it
is easy.
A second alternative would be to edit the title, description, etc. of an
existing show and then just replace its file with the one you want to
burn (after renaming it to match the original filename.)
