When you say "no video" do you mean NO video, as in, no TV display at
all from the DVD player, including the things that work when there
isn't even a DVD in the drive? (DVD player screensaver, play/stop
messages, setup menu, etc)

Or do you mean that DVDs when playing don't output video?

If it's the former, I'd say it's either a busted DVD player or (more
likely) a cable disconnected or misconnected. Most DVD players have a
number of different outputs (Composite, Component, SVideo, RF
modulated), so make sure if there needs to be a selection done in the
dvd player that it is set correctly. I'd say try connecting the Yellow
RCA (Video Out) directly to a known working input of a TV and seeing
if that works.

If it's the second one, and it happens with multiple discs, it's most
likely a dead dvd player. I would have expected it to spit out the
disc with an error instead of playing with no video, though, so I'm
leaning towards disconnected/misconnected cable or burned-out video
output.
