If people haven't run across them, there are external hard drive enclosures
available that can play video files standalone:

(Just an example, not recommending that vendor or model).  You'd connect one
of these to your Mythbox, load it up with files, and plug it into your car's
screens (if they have A/V inputs).  12V power, file format, and UI issues
are left as an exercise to the reader. ;)

Personally, I think the ultimate solution would be to set up a carpc with
wireless FTP or similar.  Then you could upload files out to the driveway
before you take off, no burning discs or carrying drives back and forth...
