Well, yes, since I live alone, I could just setup the
mid-tower next to the MythTV machine and test that
out.
I figure that I might as well move to a frontend and
backend model anyway - I can make a smaller and
quieter frontend machine (eventually) that way.  I'll
bring a P4 2.4GHz out of retirement and load it with
my capture cards.
I'm guessing that I might have to upgrade my frontend
anyway, but if I'm doing a two-system configuration,
then I at least won't have to upgrade it to something
as powerful.
Here's hoping splitting it up works.  :)
